Hello Harmon Elementary Families,
I am thrilled to serve as the principal of Harmon Elementary. Throughout my career in school leadership—including my time at Highlands Community Learning Center and Lagonda Elementary in Springfield, Ohio—my focus has always been on empowering staff and students to reach their highest potential. On a personal note, I am a proud Ohio native and a father to two wonderful children, Lucas and Kate. I am incredibly excited to continue growing in this community and help Harmon be considered one of the best schools in the Southwestern City School District.
Being part of the Harmon Elementary community means we are committed to the success of the “whole child.” Our school community focuses on three essential areas:
Academic Progress and Achievement: We are dedicated to driving growth by setting high academic standards and utilizing data to guide and improve our classroom instruction.
Social and Emotional Learning (SEL): We believe that academic success is rooted in emotional well-being. We provide the tools students need to understand and manage their emotions, show empathy, and build healthy, trusting relationships.
Behavioral Support: We prioritize supporting our students through positive interventions. Our goal is to provide solutions within the building that help students learn, grow, and thrive without relying on a loss of instructional time.
Starting my third year at Harmon, I can say how proud I am to be apart of this amazing community that has welcomed me with open arms. I am committed to partnering with our dedicated staff and families to ensure that every student at Harmon Elementary reaches their full potential. I look forward to working with you all.
